As part of my work, I’m really privileged to be able to work on various projects that aren’t the ‘every-day’ ‘run of the mill’ looks and it really gets my creative juices going. I design for my brand, I work with bridal parties on their makeup looks on a weekly basis, but I also love collaborating on styled shoots whether I’m contacted to create an exclusive design or working to a makeup brief for a magazine or social media, like that of today’s shoot!
The inspiration and brief for the shoot was ‘rustic/boho bridal’ meets ‘Irish wind-swept romance’! Add a dash off running about the foothills of Carnaween Mountain, Co. Donegal on a nice windy day and there you have it – a truly authentic look!
We broadcast some of this look LIVE on Facebook Live this week with a fantastic response and feedback (I’ve linked it below for you to view).
My Snapchat followers had behind the scenes snaps keeping them up-to-date on the shoot! Here’s a few from my visit to Pearls & Lace where the lovely mummy-to-be and owner Carole let me shoot some behind the scenes in her fabulous shop packed with truly gorgeous bridal wear and accessories..here’s a taster…
The picture that inspired the look! Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll already know how useful Pinterest is..I use it regularly to inspire me, and also see what the rest of the world is loving. This was taken from Pinterest – whimsical, fairy-like with a wildness…just beautiful!
And drum roll…..here are some of the finished shots from the editorial bridal shoot!

The initial sound didn’t seem to work, which I have no idea why, BUT it was only my second time testing the app out.
